The project is located on a plot that was used as a railroad yard serving the Penn Station. It is confined by the Manhattan urban grid to the North, East and South and by the Hudson river to the West. It is also the host of the northern entrance to the High Line park.
The design process required a thorough analysis of the urban fabric and project area surroundings in order to understand the correct scale, form, connections and what were the obstacles to overcome.
